Introduction

Welcome to what could be the start of your brand new and exciting career as a helicopter pilot! Applications are now closed for our 2019 programme, so if you have already applied then we look forward to seeing you at the selection process in October. Our 2020 Scholarship Programme is now open, and for the eighth year running Helicentre Aviation Academy are seeking enthusiastic and motivated applicants to fund through their professional helicopter piot training.

We have so far inversted over half a million pounds in Scholarship awards since the programme began, in a bid to encourage prospective new pilots into indusrty and assist with our recruitment of Commercial Pilots and Flight Instructors. The 2018 Scholarship awarded over £150,000 of funding to fifteen trainee pilots to help them get onto the career ladder faster, and the 2020 programme is going to be bigger than ever. Please note you must be able to fund your Private Pilot’s Licence in the first instance – the Scholarship programme does not cover this part of the modular training course. There are plenty of ways to make this more affordable so please get in touch for full details.

If you feel you would be a suitable candidate for our Scholarship Programe, please register your interest today and a member of the Scholarships team will contact you to discuss the pre-entry criteria and invite you to visit us for an informal chat, or to attend a very informative and free career seminar. You can read about our previous scholarship winners here

The following scholarships are now open for application:

EASA Commercial Helicopter Pilot
EASA Helicopter Flight Instructor

The application deadline for all scholarships is 31st December 2019. This means you must have completed and submitted your application form by the close of business on this date. Speak to our scholarships team on 0116 259 0186 for some friendly advice on how to start training to be a helicopter pilot and apply for a Scholarship.
