Due to the severe weather the UK has experienced throughout January, Helicentre Aviation have granted a 30 day extension to candidates wishing to apply for their professional helicopter pilot scholarships. The weather conditions, ranging from heavy snow and freezing fog to gale force winds and torrential rain, have made it impossible to fulfill the training flights scheduled for January, which has severely affected candidates who were booked in to complete their training before the original scholarship deadline of 31st March. All scholarship applicants are now required to have competed their courses and handed in their application forms by 30th April 2013 to be considered for the scholarship award. The deadline extension will not in any way affect the interview dates or the scholarship award date. The commercial pilot and flight instructor scholarships will be awarded and announced as planned on 21st June 2013.
